Community Voices Online is a web-based system, tailor made for the support of Local involvement Networks (LINks).
By combining the world wide web, the latest software developments and traditional support systems, Community Voices Online is able to provide a comprehensive support and communication tool for LINks and their Host Organisations.
Community Voices Online is the only existing custom built tool, providing the necessary functions and resources to manage the interaction between all stakeholders in health, social care and other significant areas of public interest.
Community Voices Online can achieve effective and easy public engagement by utilising both its custom built web-based system and dedicated support package which aids the delivery of activities such as surveys, discussion forums and consultation feedback
Community Voices Online is not only customisable to meet the needs of the local area, but also supports interaction through a network of other users across the country, meaning communication on a local, regional and national level is easily achieved.
Community Voices Online has five main functions:
1 To make the most of the ever increasing usage of the internet, the system gives the LINk the ability to manage a large membership, far greater in number than other more traditional means;
2 To provide LINks with the tools, software and support needed to engage on a wide scale and undertake their statutory duties;
3 To enable Host Organisations to support their LINks using the latest technological advances, ensuring precious resources can be targeted to community engagement activities rather than administration;
4 To assist Local Authorities to monitor the Host Organisation and the LINk via day by day statistics and reporting functions, publishing documentation in the public arena thus achieving public accountability;
5 To give the Government a facility to interact and communicate with LINks and gain a local, regional and national consensus quickly.
